2019 Jaine Cottage Reserve Sauvignon Blanc
"Medium straw to pale yellow in color, the 2019 Jaine Cottage Sauvignon Blanc elicits aromas of grapefruit, gooseberry, lime zest, white currant and cut grass. The Sauvignon Blanc typicity continues on the palate with green flavors of key lime, melon rind, straw and fennel followed by a limestone minerality. The mouthfeel is dry and focused with racy acidity. A dry, crisp, focused finish with flinty minerality." - Bryan Otis, Proprietor
Praise:
"A much more vibrant, racy wine compared to the 2018, the 2019 Sauvignon Blanc Cottage Reserve has a lighter gold hue as well as more steely citrus, lemon, white flowers, and honeyed mineral-like aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied on the palate, it has nicely integrated acidity, good balance, and a great finish. It will have 3-5 years of overall longevity and is another pure, impeccably made white from this label." -91 points, Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com
"Aromatics of fresh white tea, spring flowers, lychee, honeycomb and tropical core. Swirling reveals chalk, raw baking spices, white peach and lemon sugar. The palate is angular and layered with trpical fruits, baking spices and chalky minerality, and finishes with terrific persistence. A wine we are thrilled to finally release." - Bryan Otis, Proprietor
